ahh blogging...

i will not try to even remotely explain myself why i got into this blogging business. i will not, i REPEAT *WILL NOT* explain why i started to blog.

i have 3 reasons:

1. this is good exercise. i have to do something creative while i'm downloading mp3s, e-books, etc. or else my brain cells will atrophy. at present, i have an intimate relationship with my computer and she feels that my journal upstairs is junk. i must admit that this is convenient, though nothing beats inking your thoughts on pages of modern parchment.

2. i want to learn how to make a webpage. html codes confuse me. i know it's sad. (i can assemble a Rubik's cube in less than two minutes but i can't even make a decent site.) in the next five years i hope to focus on IPR law and cyberlaw. apparently, we only have 5 cyberlawyers in the Philippines. and i intend to be the sixth. (or seventh, hehe). anyway, our lawmakers have to do something about women rights being exploited in the Internet. how come we still don't have laws that prohibit sex trade via computers?

3. i've always thought that people who blog are publicity-seekers. i was dead wrong. why do people blog, anyway? do those people feel they need to? is there not enough breathing space at home? at school? at work? do they somehow feel connected with other people who also type their thoughts in cyberspace? do they feel a sense of satisfaction every time they create a post? i have plenty of questions and i can't answer them unless i become a blogger myself.
